Pay Rate Increases for Eligible Employees in Aged Care and Health Sectors

 
 

As of 1 October 2025, updated minimum pay rates for eligible employees in the health and aged care sectors have officially come into effect. These changes, which are part of the award changes brought about by the Fair Work Commission’s Aged Care Work Value Case and Work Value Case – Nurses and Midwives, aim to recognise the complexity and value of work performed across the sectors. 

Who’s affected, and what are the new pay rates? 

These changes will affect eligible employees covered under the following awards: 

  • Aged Care Award - access the new pay rates here. 

  • Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services (SCHADS) Award - access the new pay rates here.
