According to the ACSC, between July 2019 and July 2020, there were 59,806 cybercrime reports (at an average of 164 per day or roughly one report every 10 minutes).  As technology is more seamlessly integrated in our businesses and lives, not to mention its ever evolving role, the need to observe vigilance on the internet and in our virtual dealings is enhanced.

The iSuite

Certex’s iSuite of risk management programs is carefully designed to address the key areas of risk and compliance facing any business and ensures a that a robust risk assessment framework adds value and strengthens a business.

It is composed of iSafe, iPrivacy, iEngage, and iWork, soon to be joined by iCyber.

Cyber risks

When it comes to cyber security, much of the challenge can lie in knowing where to even begin. After all, most are fully aware of the importance of adequate cyber security, but when it comes to practical implementation and monitoring, that can be far less straightforward. Countless elements fall under the umbrella of ‘cyber security’, from management of hardware, software, users, access levels, security controls and many more. The iCyber assessment covers broader elements such as controls and systems approaches (and monitoring) as well as more micro-level controls such as policies and procedures for password management and remote use of devices.

The increasing reliance on technology as we move further away from traditional models of working will also enhance the need for robust cyber security systems (and amend our vision of what it may look like). In this way, iCyber Assessment represents the necessity of risk mitigation as well as the value adding nature.

As our reliance on technology to facilitate business and increases, it will entail a whole new set of risks. Therefore, it will be necessary for this shift to be reflected in approaches to risk. Certex’s exciting new addition to the iSuite, iCyber, emerges from this shift.
