5 years of iSafe!

Now boasting over 4,000 reports and 1,100 clients, the iSafe Program has grown exponentially in the last 5 years.

There are close to 400 new client sites and 550 new reports written from the last 12 months alone. These ranged from all across Australia and New Zealand – from mines in regional areas to hospitals in metropolitan cities to government departments and large multinational companies alike.

The iSafe Program is one of our key risk management services for labour hire agencies. It fits within Certex’s iSuite of services that includes Privacy, Employment Practices, Right to Work, Talent Management, Recruitment, and Quality.

The iSafe Program is special however in that we assessment the safety of host client sites within office, industrial, medical or educational workplaces. This helps the labour hire agency meet its safety obligations, given their shred duty of care towards the contractors. This obligation is all the more relevant with the recent introduction of Workplace Manslaughter laws around Australia, making directors culpable for any negligence on their part in the context of workplace deaths.

iSafe has not only been able to save our participants worry about their client sites, by sending out highly qualified OHS experts to their worksites, but also money. Our efficiencies of scale has helped our members reduce overall cost with affordable assessments, as opposed to hiring internal WHS personnel.

As the program now moves into its 5th year, we have continued to expand and adapt our program. Most recently, we now include reviews of how worksites are managing the new risks associated with COVID-19. There are best practice requirements now in the space of hygiene controls, mental health, working from home factors and others.
