UPDATE: February/March 2023

The Pied Pipers, led by Julie Mills, are taking on the Heart Foundation’s Do It For Heart challenge.

82 homeowners in the village have committed to 30 minutes of physical activity each day. This could be water aerobics, walking, darts, dancing, golf, tennis, lawn bowls, or anything else!

Certex will contribute:

  • $1 when a participant does 30 minutes of physical activity

  • $2 if they are trying this activity for the first time

The Pied Pipers have raised an incredible $1,685. Congratulations to all homeowners!

UPDATE: 2020 to 2022

Congratulations to the Pied Pipers for completing their trip around Australia, on foot!

The group walked twice daily to achieve just under 15,000 km in 782 days – an incredible effort.

Each month, the Pied Pipers nominated a charity to fundraise. They raised $52,000 for 27 charities, including:

  • Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation

  • MS Plus – Do It For MS

  • Dementia Australia

  • Mental Health Foundation Australia

  • Guide Dogs Australia

  • Shake It Up For Parkinsons

Additionally, the Pied Piper Baker, Peter Giles, baked 2400 loaves of bread. Their Jam and Chutney Queen, Nannette Davis, made hundreds of jars of jam and chutney. Sales from bread, jam and chutney totalled $295, and the money raised was donated to valuable research as part of Shake It Up For Parkinsons.
