Annual Wage Review Decision by the Fair Work Commission 2025
The Fair Work Commission has just finished its Annual Wage Review, and has announced significant adjustments to both the National Minimum Wage and Minimum Award wages.
According to the announcement made by the Commission on Tuesday, both the National Minimum Wage and the Minimum Award Wage rates will increase by 3.5% from the 1st of July 2025. This means that the National Minimum Wage will increase to $948 per week or $24.95 per hour for pay periods beginning on or after the 1st of July 2025.
What about employees covered by an enterprise agreement?
Employees covered by enterprise agreements may also be eligible for a wage increase, as their base pay rate must not be less than the base pay rate on their specific awards. (Source : Fair Work)
Does the Superannuation Guarantee increase as well?
Yes, the superannuation guarantee will also increase from 11.5% to 12% from the 1st of July 2025.
